Garbage collection service is provided by The City of Calgary every week on Thursday. Residents are advised to have their garbage placed at curbside for collection: - no later than 7:00 am on the day of collection, or - no earlier than 7:00 pm on the day before collection.

All residents are required to use the black City of Calgary garbage bins.  Each resident received a bin and they are to remain with the residence upon an ownership change.  There is no specified bag limit but residents should try to fill the black bin first.  If there is excess garbage, residents are required to place the garbage in bags curbside, approximately 18 inches to 2 feet from the black bin. From time to time, garbage collection is delayed due to unforseen circumstances (truck breakdown, etc.).
